About Us
POKIBID is an in-person support group, offering meetings in Madison and Paramus New Jersey. Run by parents, this group provides support, friendship, and information to parents and other caregivers of teens and young children diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
We talk about everything from meds and doctors to improving IEPs; and of course the day-to-day stress of raising these children. Families dealing with such an ill child can quickly become exhausted, traumatized, and isolated. The parents of these children are the only ones who truly understand what it is like to raise a bipolar child.
